The Main Course @ Idea Festival is a one-of-a-kind event with dinner under the stars, literally on the streets of downtown Louisville. Imagine a formal dining table set for 200 guests placed in the middle of Main Street (between 4th and 5th Streets) with dinner presented by Corbett’s Restaurant, locally grown food provided by local farms and unique wine pairings provided by Brown-Forman. The first 125 to register are treated to a pre-dinner, Brown-Forman bourbon tasting, with a birds-eye view of the table-setting from Humana’s 25th floor.
Barry Wooley Designs was commissioned to provide the ambience and décor for the annual event. Utilizing a mix of late spring and early fall floral inspiration, the BWD team created colorful, breathtaking centerpieces accented with delicate candles to provide a chic, sophisticated atmosphere for the diners. Barry was also asked to consult on the marketing and planning of the event. In the spirit of the event, all of the flowers were purchased from local horticulturalist, Sharon Loew, owner of Loew Flower Farm.
